This is the Information and Registration Webpage for the Mankind Project USA Gathering of Elders 2011 (MKP USAGE) sponsored by the MKP USA Elder Council and the Central Plains Community of the Mankind Project USA.
We welcome ALL elders (men and women with 50 years or more of life experience) to attend the MKP USAGE. Come and join elder brothers from The Mankind Project International (MKPI) and MKP USA, elder women from Woman Within and Women in Power organizations, and men and women from the Sage-ing Guild as together we share wisdom and celebrate who we are at this time of our lives.

Below are highlights about the Mankind Project USA 2011 Gathering of Elders. More detailed information can be found by clicking on other menu headings on this Webpage and on the Mankind Project Elders Webpage (link in right sidebar).
This year’s gathering of elders takes us to the pastoral beauty of the Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center. The natural, peaceful beauty of this setting will remind many of us of the settings so many of us enjoyed in the first six World Elder Gatherings.
The USAGE will take place Thursday through Sunday, October 27 – 30, 2011, at the Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center near Indianola, Iowa and at the Apple Tree Inn in Indianola, Iowa. The campsite is located 20 minutes south of the Des Moines, Iowa, airport.
The guiding theme for this year’s program is:
By weaving together the threads of our life experiences, we elders create a tapestry of inner mastery which we actively gift to the world.
So come join the fellowship. All men and women will sign in at the Wesley Woods campsite and join together for Thursday evening, October 27. There will be a fellowship dinner, an opening ceremony and a process to help folks get connected whether it is with long time friends or new acquaintances.
We are excited to welcome Dr. Robert Moore (see more information under “Keynote Speaker”) who will provide a keynote presentation on Thursday evening. We also welcome Doug Von Koss who will lead us in singing and movement at strategic times during the weekend. Other program details will be listed under the “Program” tab as they become available.
We are also excited that Rosemary Cox (Sage-ing Guild) will be leading a retreat for women on Friday and Saturday, October 28 & 29, at the Apple Tree Inn. Click on “Rosemary” for program details.
Linda Brooks, a member of Woman Within and Women in Power is working with the Program Planning Team to help create the program shared by women and men on Thursday evening, Saturday evening and on Sunday morning. Details will be listed under the “Program” tab as they become available.
